As we’ve discovered in this crazy 2020 virus world haunted houses have had to make some pretty intense adjustments in order to keep the scares going. Well, Fright Acres out at Flat Acres Farms in Parker, CO is no different. Like many of the other multiple attraction haunts they have decided to combine the attractions to make one long haunt experience. And honestly, it works out really well! We entered the haunt at what used to be known as Reaper’s Hollow, a spooky graveyard/corn maze manned by an eerie undertaker who seemed to be very disappointed that we were among the living. After exiting the hollow you come upon the Dead End Motel. And if you thought you might take a rest here in a quaint double queen room, you’d be sorely mistaken. This motel has been overrun by mental patients!! A motel disguised as a sanitarium, very cleverly done! If you escape the motel you might make it to the Fright Zone. A charming yet terrifying ghost town. Once you make it out of the town, you enter the Goblin’s Grove, which in our humble opinion is the star section of this haunt! A terrifying trek through a creepy woods, crawling with monsters! Fright Acres ability to capture the eerie essence of the natural landscape here is phenomenal! They utilize every inch of the grove to create one of the most realistic haunted woods we’ve encountered. And to top it off, they have some of the most incredible actors we’ve seen in a while! We LOVE when haunt actors really get into their role and have lines and create dialogue with the haunt goers. Fright Acres has such dedicated actors, they had us questioning whether or not they were actually acting! Just fantastic! Despite the restrictions due to COVID-19, Fright Acres still managed to pull out a win with another year of incredible haunting! If you are in the Parker area or are willing to take a trip, this is definitely one haunt you should not miss!
